Goat Cheese & Bacon-Stuffed Sweet Pepper Poppers
The Spicy Pepper Everyone Will Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 Cup GODSHALL’S Smoky CRUMBLZ
- 8 oz. Goat Cheese
- 2 Tablespoons Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1/4 Cup Green Onions
- 1 Garlic Clove (Finely Chopped)
- 1/2 Teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes
- 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 Cup Bread Crumbs
- ¼ Cup Parmesan Cheese (Shredded)
- 2 Tablespoons Butter (Melted)
- 1 lb or 16 Sweet Peppers (Cut in Half Length Wise and Seeded)
- 1 Teaspoon Thyme Leaves (Chopped Fresh)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 Degrees F and spray baking sheet with non-stick spray.
- In a medium microwaveable bowl, microwave goat cheese and whipped cream uncovered on high for 30 to 60 seconds. (Until Soft)
- Once softened, add in green onions, garlic, red pepper flakes, bacon CRUMBLZ and salt.
- In separate small bowl, mix bread crumbs, parmesan cheese and melted butter.
- Evenly fill the pepper halves with the goat cheese mixture.
- Sprinkle bread crumb mixture on top of goat cheese mix and lightly press down to make sure it sticks.
- Place the peppers on the baking sheet evenly apart.
- Bake in approx. 30 to 35 minutes or until the top of the peppers begin to become a light golden brown and peppers become tender.
- Sprinkle with thyme and serve.
