Bacon Corn Fritters
A Traditional Recipe Enhanced with Smoky Bacon Flavor!
Ingredients:
- 6 Slices GODSHALL’S Turkey Bacon (Browned and Diced) or Smoky CRUMBLZ
- 3 Eggs (Beaten)
- 1/2 Cup of Half-and-half
- 1 Cup All-purpose Flour
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 4 Cups Corn Kernels
- 1 Cup Vegetable Oil
Instructions:
- Beat egg yolks in a large bowl. Mix in the half-and-half, flour and salt.
- Once combined well, add in the corn and bacon.
- Beat egg whites until mixture becomes stiff, then add to the corn mixture until combined well.
- Heat vegetable oil in pan over medium-high heat.
- Once the oil sizzles, turn the heat down to medium and carefully drop tablespoons of the mixture into the oil.
- Fry the fritters on each side for a couple minutes or when it turns golden brown.
- Once finished cooking, place fritters on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Pile your fritters onto a plate and serve hot.
- Serve with butter and additional GODSHALL’S Turkey Bacon or top with CRUMBLZ.
